Used Car Lot

Brian and I currently own 4 cars. No, that was not a type-o. We bought this Civic hatchback to drive to work, it gets killer gas mileage.



And guess who gets to drive this bad boy?! ME! I L.O.V.E. it! Now, I know what you're thinking... "what are those idiots doing buying a new car? They have 2 cars paid off!" Well, let me tell you this... Brian's work PAYS for us to drive this beauty! Boo-ya!

Guess Who's 30?!

Brian was on a 50 mile hike with the Scouts on his birthday, so the following weekend I threw him a surprise party! I told him I got a gift certificate from work for Famous Dave's and that we should go to dinner on Saturday. I asked our family and friends to be at Famous Dave's at 6:30 and I would bring Brian around 7. He had to work that day, and of course made a stop on the way home and was just shooting the breeze taking forever to get home. Thank goodness the restaurant wasn't quite ready for our big group yet. Brian finally gets home and is just taking his precious time getting in the shower, and getting on the computer. In the mean time, I'm freaking out that it's 7:15, so I start yelling at him "hurry up, let's go, I'm starving!" We finally roll into the parking lot at 7:45, and walk into the restaurant. The hostess is walking us to our table and Brian says "I think that's my dad sitting over there... it IS my dad!" Everyone yelled 'surprise' and I think it finally sank in. Heehee! Thanks to everyone that came! It was a fun surprise!
