We're Taking A Vote

My fellow Twilighters... I am so excited for this movie to come out that last night, I tried to reserve Brian for the night of December 12, 2008, the night "Twilight" comes to theaters. So this is how our conversation went:

Mallory: Brian, will you take me on a date on December 12, 2008?

Brian: Oh boy, what's going on that night?

Mallory: The Vampire movie comes out.

Brian: No, I don't want to be the only guy in the theater.

Mallory: You won't be. All the girlfriends and wives will make their boyfriends and husbands take them to the movie too.

Brian: Whatever... ask Todd if Jessica is making him go.

I then proceded to tell Brian that Jessica is probably not as insanely obsessed with The Twilight Series as I am. In fact, I often wonder if ANYONE is as insanely obsessed as I am, and sometimes after reading these books, I have a hard time coming back to reality. Andrea... Jenni... Lachelle.. are you with me on this one? So I ask you, will you be dragging your significant other to the premier of "Twilight"?

Kitchen Tile... Done!

It's done! It's done! It's finally done! The kitchen tiling is finally finished! After weeks and weeks of working on the kitchen, the tiling is finally finished! And I love it! A big thanks to Brian and Dad for sacrificing their weekends to work on this project. Brian nailed the base boards up last night, and today we moved the appliances back in! Yipee!!!

Happy Mom's Day!

I just wanted to give a shout out to all the mom's out there. Happy mother's day! Thanks for teaching me all the good qualities of motherhood and I am excited to be one someday!

Mary - Thanks for being so fun to hang out with. We love having you guys come to visit. And we are so thankful that you and Dad are some welcoming when we come over. Before you, I didn't know what a bonus mother-in-law was, but now that I do, I'm glad your mine.

Chris - Hands down... best mother-in-law I've ever had! A friend of mine who recently got married does NOT get along with her husband's mother. And I've heard horror stories about the dreaded mother-in-law. But I can't even imagine things like that. I've felt so loved the way you've welcomed me to your family. Yes, there have been times when I've wanted to give your son BACK to you, but I eventually pull through and I love being a part of this family.

My granny - I have the best granny ever! She's my favorite granny. She's just what you would expect a granny to be, and that's what I love most about her. She says the darndest things sometimes! She gives good hugs, and always listens and is genuinely interested in my life. Thanks for the many sleep-overs and days of "putsing" around.

And of course, my mommy - Just wanted to send you an extra special happy mother's day message. Ever since I got married, I've been trying to appreciate my mom every day, and not just on mother's day. And being married has made me realize how much my mom has done, and continues to do for me. Thanks for being silly with me and being such a good example. I would love to someday become half the mother that my mommy is. Thanks for everything, EVERYTHING. And mostly thanks for being my mom.

Am I pretty?

You may have seen on Jenni's blog that she put extensions in my hair while Brian and I were visiting her and the fam this past weekend. I couldn't stop laughing after she put them in and I kept asking Brian "am I pretty?"

Disneyland anyone?

Will someone please go to Disneyland with me? I want to use my rebate check from George W to go to Disneyland, but Brian does not want to go. Just for a fun get away, maybe get a 2 or 3 day park hopper pass. I will arrange accommodations at my condo. I was thinking sometime in the fall. Yay!
