Finally!

YES! We are alive! We were in Oregon for 2 1/2 weeks, and then I was sick with bronchitis for a week after that... and still trying to recover. Oh don't worry, the doctor said a bronchitis cough could last up to six weeks... can't wait! 2 weeks down, 4 to go! Anywho, we are back and I am ready to blog!

First of all, our trip to Oregon was so much fun AND such an adventure. We went up for Redden's baptism/Jessi's baby blessing/Christmas/New Years and ended up with more than we bargained for. I'll try to make this short and sweet. Basically, Portland saw weather like they haven't seen since the late 1800's (everything from NONSTOP snow, freezing rain, pouring rain and thanks to all that moisture... flooding) and 19 members of my husbands family were literally trapped inside his sister's house for 3 days while the freeway was closed. Yes, I said trapped. Andrea made it work though! She is so amazing. She fed us ALL for 3 days without going to the store thanks to her food storage! Shout out to Andrea! Woot woot!

This is what we drove through to get there

Zoey got us safely to the Turner's house

Aw, what a good uncle...
Maybe not!
Downtown Portland
The USS something-or-other at OMSI. Brian was REALLY sad that the submarine tours were sold out the day we were there.
Brian in the Earthquake house. He was really scared. I think Rich is trying to comfort him?
I told Brian to get in this thing and take a picture with me. He was afraid that once he got in, he would get stuck and not be able to get back out. So this is his "scared" face.
Brushing up on his prenatal development knowledge. I think it frightened him.
Love this girl!
We are BFF's

Christmas was also spent at the Turner's. It was so much fun. I haven't spent Christmas with little kids for a long time, so it was fun to see how excited Redden and Austin were. Brian and I got Rock Band from Santa, so we got to play that for a good part of our trip.

Our New Years was very laid back. We stayed up and played games and ate lots of treats. Then around 2 am when the power went out, we decided that was a sign that it was time to go to bed. I tell you, some crazy stuff happened while we were in Portland!

Well it was a successful trip! Thanks Turner's for letting us live in your trailer for so long! We had a blast! Miss you already!
